Golden State Racing Roseville, CA –

Roseville, CA – Golden State Racing and Eric Schmidt solidified their position as one of the top teams in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, claiming fifth and first place finishes in the twin-50’s at All American Speedway Saturday night.

Schmidt extended his All American Speedway points lead against one of the toughest fields of the season. The field featured Madera points leader Ross Strmiska and Altamont points leader Ryan Philpott.

After qualifying second, Schmidt rolled off ninth in the first feature before a flat tire on lap 16 dropped him to 14th.

Schmidt carved through the field, making his way to fifth place by lap 42 and holding that position to the checkered flag.

In the second 50 lap event, Schmidt lead all 50 laps from the pole position. Schmidt was able to fend off advances from Juan Pitta and Benny Moon enroute to the victory.

The win marked the 10th of the 2007 campaign for Golden State Racing, which continues to climb the NASCAR California State points with three weeks remaining.
