Golden State Racing Roseville, CA –

Frank Jordan’s Golden State Racing and driver Eric Schmidt will look to fend off the top drivers in the NASCAR California State Title hunt this Saturday night at All American Speedway in Roseville, CA.

State points leader Ross Strmiska and Altamont points leader Ryan Philpott will be among those on hand to compete in the twin-50s program.

Schmidt claimed a flag-to-flag win in the August 25th event for Western Late Model class at All American, setting a furious pace on the one-third mile asphalt oval.

Schmidt’s win extended his points lead in the series to 68 points over rookie Paul Harraka.

Schmidt currently sits sixth in the state points standings, with nine wins, 13 top-fives, and 15 top-tens in 16 starts. Schmidt and Golden State Racing have competed at All American, Altamont, and Madera Speedways in its 2007 campaign.

Schmidt finished second at Altamont to Philpott and is expected to have the advantage over Philpott at his home track.
