Roseville, CA –
Eric Schmidt and Golden State Racing picked up its third straight victory at the All American Speedway, Saturday night, in NASCAR Whelen All-American Series-sanctioned action.

Schmidt picked up fast time and pulled away from Jim Courage Jr. to take the crucial victory in front of a strong crowd at the one-third mile asphalt speedplant.

Schmidt’s win earned him crucial points in his goal towards winning the California State Title, as other contenders also picked up victories this weekend.

“Winning three straight races – it’s been a long time since we’ve done that,” Schmidt said. “This is still a new car that we only have about two and a half races on.”

After winning both 50 lap features the weekend before, Golden State Racing made some changes to try and make the car even better.

“We changed the setup from week before with some new shock and suspension pieces,” Schmidt said. “If you don’t keep improving the car you’ll end up behind.”

Schmidt and the entire team know what they need to do to keep the championship in view.

“We just have to stay consistent and keep the fenders on it,” Schmidt said. “Luck is also a big role in racing. When it’s going your way you have to ride it because it can turn on you very quickly.”

Schmidt and Golden State Racing now square away at a 100 lap feature event this Saturday night at the All American Speedway in Roseville, CA. The team will look for win number four in this still young season.
