Roseville, CA – Golden State
Racing and driver Eric Schmidt will return to All American Speedway
in Roseville, CA, Saturday night, hoping to extend their 14 point
lead in the NASCAR-sanctioned Late Model action on the asphalt oval.
Schmidt has won four straight features at his home track.
With All American Speedway Late Models having the last two weekends
off, the team embarked for Altamont and Madera.
The Altamont
appearance on May 19th netted a runner-up finish with
several laps led.
Saturday night, at Madera Speedway, Schmidt qualified third and
finished second in the dash.
Schmidt was
running seventh 35 laps into the 100 lap feature, but had been
involved in two separate incidents that had damaged the right front
of the car. Car owner
Frank Jordan
decided to park the car to prevent any further damage.
Golden State Racing is in the midst of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series
state points battle, with races at Altamont, Madera, and Roseville
being eligible for points.
In seven
starts in 2007, Schmidt has earned four wins, five top-fives, and
six top-tens.
Action
Saturday kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with dashes, followed by features.
Schmidt will be competing in the JM Environmental 75 for the Late
Models.
