Win for GSR

Golden State Racing

Roseville, Calif. –

The GS Race team had a good night at AAS. Laura Hayes was the fasted car in practice but struggled some qualifying. She ended up 11th with a lap of 14.09 however there was only 8 hundredths of a second separating 11th to 4th…a very fast field of cars. Laura worked well through traffic to finish 6th on the night.

Kristin Bumbera was 4th quick in practice and qualified third with a lap of 13.99, one of only three cars to reach the 13's. She also finished 2nd in the fast car Trophy dash. After the drop of the green Kristin settled in and around the 10th position and began working her way forward. She had to deal with loose conditions eventually finishing 7th out of the 19 car field. That finish now has Kristin advancing to seventh in points just two points out of sixth!

John Moore was third quick in practice and ended up 2nd in qualifying with a lap of 13.88. He started 6th in the Feature and quickly advanced to 3rd. John got to second place with 12 to go and set his sights on the leader.

He took over the lead from Paul Haraka with an aggressive move in turn one and went on to win the Feature.

John sits 2nd in points and gained 9 points on the leader in the standings. All three of our drivers in the top seven bringing home "clean" racecars make for a good night. Take care to all of you…it was great to see so many of you there. We will be back again this Saturday night at All American Speedway.
